The brochure documents the project Berlin Creates Fair Fashion, which included a training program for young fashion and textile labels in Berlin, young designers and graduates/students of a degree course in this sector who want to apply socio-ecological criteria and fair trade standards in order to work ethically and sustainably.
The project consisted mainly of an online workshop series to create new collaborations and share resources among fair trade producers, fashion brands, start-ups, young designers, and students from Berlin. The project took place in fall 2023.
The documentation (29 pages) contains the contents of the four workshops, which were held on various key topics, and further links. The workshops were held in English, so the brochure is in English.
The project was realized in collaboration with Forum Fairer Handel, Aktionsbündnis Fairer Handel Berlin, Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Technik Berlin, Alice-Salomon-Hochschule Berlin, Fairfaktur, VORN The Berlin Fashion Hub. The workshops featured Manos del Uruguay, Selyn Textiles from Sri Lanka, Ensamble Artesano and Taller Maya from Mexico among other significant actors in the fair fashion branch.
